Chillin' in January

the band took most of January off
~ to relax and pursue their own interests

~ with the rare exception
~ of a mid-month gig in Paris
~ they had some time to themselves

~ David ~ together with Jason on electric bass
~ continued his lifelong passion for rock 'n' roll
~ performing often ~ over the past few weeks

~ but~ for the most part ~ it was a month to kick back
~ and be entertained ~ for a change

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~ Jason took the opportunity to check out AVATAR
~ David prefers to relax ~ with a six-string in his hand
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

~ Manuel also enjoyed his time off
~ he compared the return ~ going back on the road
~ to George Harrison's famous lament ~ when he
~ left the warm, supportive, musical companionship
~ of Woodstock ~ in November 1968
~ and returned ~ to the cold, drafty, tense January 1969
~ film and recording sessions ~ in Twickenham studio
~ for the notorious ~ but superb ~ "Let It Be"
~

~
~ Didi got away for a few days
~ but ~ spent most of his January
~ on the big plans ~ and small details
~ necessary to the band's continued success
~

~ with their February schedule ~ as busy as any in 2009 ::
>>> Dusseldorf (today ~ Feb 8th)
>>> Paris ~ tomorrow
>>> Geneva ~ (Thursday ~ the 11th)
>>> back to Paris ~ on Friday
>>> Gstaad ~ on Saturday

>>> and Venice, this Sunday
~~~~~~~~~~ Feb 14th ~ Valentine's Day
~ so ~ get ready ~ for more Gypsy Queen news in 2010 !!!
